Panel Discussion : Suicide Prevention and Intervention Strategies

As the Director of International Service Rotary Bangalore Southwest successfully hosted a virtual panel discussion on a vital issue of “Suicide prevention and intervention strategies” on 23rd Nov. 2022 in joint collaboration with the Rotary E-club of Melbourne. As the moderator of the program, I was in conversation with Dr. Jakqui Barnfield, Director of Clinical Services, Mensline Organisation, Australia, and Meenakshi.R.Nagwekar, Director of Sisters Living Works, a Mumbai-based NGO. Doctor and a Clinical psychologist Rtn. Dr. Padmakshi Lokesh from RB Nagarbhavi also shared her views about the subject. Over 80 participants joined the meeting. 32 Rotary clubs from different parts of Bangalore and Karnataka participated in the program as joint partner clubs. District Governor 9640 Rtn. Karen Thomas; President E-club of Melbourne Rtn. Saxon Mitchell; Program Coordinator Rtn. Charlotte Doss from E-club of Melbourne; Rtn. Madhumita Bishnu from the E-club of Melbourne; ISD Rtn. Rashmi Tanksali; PDG Ramesh Rai with other fellow Rotarians globally were present on the occasion.
