Dr. Anubha Jain’s Ph.D. highlights the significant impact of women in Rajasthan’s Political Landscape. The research study has brought out the status of women in the age-old patriarchal system, the socio-political role played by women in Rajasthan against the backdrop of prevailing and changing social, political, and economic behaviour with aspirations, and concluded the way whether media has played its role reasonably in the true depiction of women’s journey and helped to uplift their position in the society. The study has used the political journey of some prominent women leaders of Rajasthan as case studies and supplemented it with a survey-based analysis to derive the conclusions. This study has also illustrated live examples of women politicians who have made a remarkable contribution to our legislative bodies solely based on their potential and without any reservation. The study gives an insight into women leaders’ actions or deeds on issues of crucial importance like gender inequality, atrocities against women, 33% reservation for women, and women empowerment that will eventually bring to light women’s position in society against the age-old patriarchal system. The researcher’s one-on-one dialogue with prominent women leaders-cum-politicians, media connoisseurs and other personalities from different walks of life has made the research more authentic.
