Exclusive Interview- ISRO’s former chairman AS Kiran Kumar on NavIC

Invited at the release of a commemorative postal stamp at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) campus, marking the 125th anniversary of the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory. The event was organized by the Department of Posts, Government of India. The stamp was officially unveiled by A.S. Kiran Kumar, former ISRO Chairman and current Chairperson of the IIA Governing Council, alongside S. Rajendra Kumar, Chief Post Master General of the Karnataka Circle.
My detailed report here:
As part of this special occasion, I had the delightful opportunity to engage in an enriching conversation with one of my role models, Prof. Annapurni, Director of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics. Some of you may recall my earlier in-depth interview with her about the Milky Way.
I also had a fascinating discussion on India’s indigenous navigation system, NavIC, with A.S. Kiran Kumar. Under his leadership in 2018, the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), popularly known as NavIC, made significant strides in development and deployment
