Tech giants like Meta and Google promised convenience woven seamlessly into everyday life. But for many women, that “seamless” future now feels unsettling. Across cities worldwide, reports are surfacing of women being filmed without their knowledge by men wearing camera-equipped smart glasses. Suddenly, ordinary spaces — streets, beaches, cafés, shopping aisles — feel different. When technology becomes invisible, so does consent.
